All I want is real hard hitting defense and an offense that's flashy but balanced. Similar to Oklahoma when they peaked under Bob Stoops. I do want the defense to be nasty on the field similar to Florida's defense instead of Bama's defense.

You might want to check that again, because it is false. A 10-4 navy team and an 8-5 Conneticut team are 2 that i notice right off the bat.

I stand corrected. Maybe it was that he never beat a MAC team with a winning record. I read that stat somewhere the other day.

If not Gruden

If there is any way Shaw would come I think he should be number two.

3-5 should be some mix of strong/franklin/mora jr

Why do we need a coach with an outgoing personallity or charisma?

What is wrong with his scheme?

You seriously think he can't recruit? That is what he is known for more than anything else.
Hello...recruiting and PR.

I've been on the recruit side and coaches without personality lost out.

Nick Dawson and others don't know what you are talking about. Strong has beat out teams like USC, Auburn, Tennessee, Clemson, and many more all while having to try and recruit people to the big east.

If rumors are accurate we passed Saban money 1.2 million dollars ago.

I thought it was already understood his salary was gonna be higher. Don't see what the big deal is.

Show him the money. Help him help us.

SIAP

According to a source who spoke to someone with knowledge of the situation, Gruden's salary figure was higher than Alabama coach Nick Saban – who is the highest paid college football coach in today's market.

Upon hearing the figure from Gruden, we're told UT indicated that the price was too steep.

I have no idea how reliable this information truly is.

The University would sell an additional 6 million in hot dogs if they get Gruden. They're worried about picking up pennies and leaving the dollars laying on the ground.

If what I posted is true, then Gruden wants over $5.5M/year.

Question...what was Saban's initial salary at bama his first year? I see no reason why Gruden shouldn't be a good amount above that figure...but higher than Saban right now, I can understand the need to negotiate there...By the way, I'm assuming Saban makes more now than his initial year
