I think thats how it will wind up going down. The new guy will be screwed before he ever coaches a game. Possibly to the point that fans will be booing before he ever really gives them reason to. That sucks but I think its entirely possible. There are likely some ok coaches out there but "ok" isnt gonna cut it. What im wondering is if the UT brass can supposedly come up with these absurd amounts of money for Gruden and his staff then why cant they also come up with that kind of money to get a GOOD plan b?
It seems to me like if you go opening up the briefcase full of cash at a good coach they would at least listen. Great coaches that are already employed arent gonna listen to a 3 or 4 million dollar deal but I bet they would listen to 5 or 6 million dollar one.
