Just spoke to Charlie Strong. He's angry. He says he did not interview at Auburn and has not spoken to them. "It's not true."

It didn't make sense with him having game tomorrow. Friday he is fair game and that will be one to watch. He is my second choice and one that excites me greatly!!

See. The Hat knows what's up. He don't want none of The Gruden, wants anybody else in there, even his own DC.

:loco:

That actually crossed my mind. Chavis defense keeps Les going, so why would he want him to leave and go to the Vols...unless..

Honestly hard to focus on a number 2 right now. In my mind, this go big or go home. I don't have time or negative thoughts. And right now, anything other than Gruden is negative for me.

I'm putting my faith in the insiders.

Soon........

I know this is a flame on but look at what Franklin has done at that place up north .

Since everyone seems to be in this thread ill ask here. I'm fairly new to vn so was anyone accurate with their "sources" when it came to hiring kiffin or Dooley??

i think most had an ideal about kiffin
Dooley on the other hand was a complete shock.I had to look him up on Google to see who he was.

I am over this garbage.

Either Gruden wants to be the next HC of the Vols or he doesn't, everything else is window dressing! Don't get me wrong I want Gruden here and think he would he a great hire.

However, there are other coaches out there who can get the job done and I do not mean Golden or Fedora and any other lackluster average football coach!
I'm almost at that point myself bud. It's getting pretty close to the time to fish or cut bait. Although this is a pretty big fish, there are others. Having said that, Gruden would be awesome on the sidelines in Neyland Stadium.

I actually wouldn't mind the man as a HC. I think he still bleeds orange. He has the name recognition and probably the prestige to pull in some good coordinators.

Things could be much worse than that.

I agree with you. I would take Chavis as a HC/DC and keep the current offensive staff before I would take Al Golden.

It sounds like he's not wanting to break the intentionally just concerned with all the silly details of the rules.

I said last Thursday night that it looked like someone wanted out and was trying a way to save face. Looks like nothing has changed but at least we will not blame Hart for this if true. With these demands I just do not see a deal here. Something would have to change on Gruden's part. We are already in trouble with the mess left by Kiffin.

For $5mil a year I would expect Gruden to build a winner and never have a problem with recruiting or compliance. That is if he could?

But I do wonder what is going on with new issues with ESPN? Did we find out thru due diligence that they want a buyout also? I thought I had heard that he signed a new contract this year and I wonder what the terms and conditions of that agreement are and are we being asked to take care of it?
