I'm not saying that is the case, only that it is the only thing that would justify a smokescreen. 400K is a large chunk of money, especially when you only have to wait a few extra days to collect it.

If we have lost Gruden I will have to blame Hart until more details come out. If he was interested a month ago tell him to put his name on a contract now or we are moving on to someone else. I know he is a big name but stuff happens all the time. Another job, cold feet whatever. He is not bigger than UT, if you want the job take it, if not we are moving on!

Going on record that I still believe. Nothing has happened today except for a report from the gay who has been a naysayer on this from the jump and another one who was the only one to report an offer AND the only one to report it being turned down.

Nothing has changed. Gruden has denied nothing except the Browns stuff and the University of Tennessee has denied nothing.

Why do we jump off the train now? I look forward to the announcement. I look forward to a much improved program. I look forward to a return to national prominence. I look forward to winning. But, to move forward an truly progress, you must make the right first steps.

Let's let things play out. Everyone take a chill pill, maybe enjoy a beverage if the at variety and look at this in a calmer manner.

It appears as if most of us have been strong from the beginning, but every piece of bad news has moved in some riff raff into the forum. Let that pass too.

Maybe Basilio's posts have been more true than we thought. That UT had cooled in Gruden and put him to the side for a while.

I am sure the man has pride, and would say "___ off" when they came knocking later.

Hey just making a joke man, dont get too excited. I dont take any of this nonsense too seriously. Its a forum full of rumors, lies and wisecracks = aka entertainment.

I think there could be some validity to this. Hyams has waffled and doesn't seem to really know what is going on. If it is true that Gruden can't be a head coach until after his other contracts are fulfilled, the Memphis story forced their hand in trying to stomp out any rumors.

Or we are just screwed.
