Question. Can anyone show us proof that Gruden gets his last check from Tampa Bay soon? Assuming that this last payment is coming soon, don't they have to do everything in their power to deny that he has taken the job until that date has passed? Just a thought.

Uhm, I'm pretty sure UT/boosters are like "bill me for the rental" instead of "well, if he doesn't show up we understand if you rent it out to someone else".

I remember that now after your post. To his credit, however, his SEC picks for the year have been good money.....for the most part.

IMO, Gruden was denying rumors about having a stake in the Browns. I never heard him actually deny that we have reached out to him or made him an offer, just negating the part ownership aspect of the rumors. He cut M&M short basically saying, hey sorry but i'm not here to talk about that let get on with the show. I believe we still have him. :good!:

Our last two head football coaches are two of the biggest jokes in college sports.

As silly as it sounds, I feel like all of this can simply be flushed down the toilet with the hiring of Gruden. Suddenly, I won't give a $h*t about the half decade of misery we've been through.

If we settle for yet another up-and-comer/unproven coach - I'll still love Tennessee. But it'll take some W's and some class off the field to get me back 100%.... or they can get Gruden and have me back more than ever on Day 1.

Call me a bad fan - but I'd put money that there are hundreds of thousands (if not Millions) of Vols who feel exactly the same.

You are not a bad fan, my friend. You are a realist and you call a spade a spade. The level of mismanagement of the men's athletics programs at this university has been so terribly bad, it is hard to understand how people can be hired who are so incompetent.

And, if Gruden truly is not in play, then Hart is falling right in line with the other idiots before him. He acts like he has until next August to hire a coach...when signing day is in February.

2. A lot of people on here are FOS --->insert sarcasm
3. I'm tired of waiting on a NHC
4. M&M's are Good with milk
