How would Golden fit with what Hart said about finding a coach that's a proven winner with SEC experience.

Nothing adds up today. I'm now convinced no one knows anything—not OGs, not Hyams, not Hubbs, Not ESPN—except Hart, the boosters and Gruden.

We'll know when we know.

So everybody here hates Hyams and thinks he's clueless. Then he comes out and says Gruden turned down a meeting. Now everybody believes him and is crying. Hilarious.

No search firm, reports Gruden is mad because of lack of pursuit. This falls at the feet of Hart. This has become Gruden or fail now because he has allowed it to fester. No Gruden=No Hart IMO.

If by "true", you mean fans that have season tickets and held onto them through these last 3 miserable years, then I qualify.

If you mean someone that is going to quietly sit by when we continue to hire second to third tier coaches while our program is destroyed, then I'm out.

I can't understand yall sometimes. Hyams is FOS when he says we're not talking to Gruden. Basically says that it's not happening and he has no sources. Now he says his sources tell him a meeting was canceled and his sources are legit. SMH.

There are a number of reasons this wasn't to be announced for a few days...the Tampa Bay pay-out, sticky negotiations with ESPN to get out of that contract, things weren't finalized, etc.

The glass half-full perspective is the news is nothing more than to calm things down and buy a little time. If the glass is half-empty, you wonder if there was really any truth to this beyond this board.

We've had people say the Governor has stated it was a done deal, his name plate was seen in the AD offices, people have personal contacts with the $$$ guys, the recruits have been told a big announcement is to be made by the end of the week, etc.

What has happened is nothing more than a bit more smoke or everything we've been reading non-stop for days was nothing more than internet fiction.

Their fan base can clearly see Jeff Long is working hard.... He made an offer to their top choice, Jon Gruden. Gruden declined. Okay no big deal. They moved onto to their biggest rival and made their coach a huuuuge offer. He declined because he got a raise.

At the end of the day, their fan base can't be upset because they know their AD did everything he could to get a great coach for their program.....

Can UT say the same about Dave Hart??? At this point, I say no.

who knows. Nothing has ever been public about our search.

The only thing the media knows is that most Vols fans want Gruden.

Literally nothing else is publicaly known, like at Arkansas.
