I hesitate to believe Mike Gundy wants to leave his alma mater as well. I support what Charlie Strong brings to the table in proven successful SEC defenses and the ability to recruit in UT territory. I'm not sold on Fedora, the last time he experienced the SEC Fulmer was winning titles. Does anyone know why it's rumored that he would be leaving UNC?

Skeeter, I love what you bring to the board but are you saying that Hart hasn't spoke to anyone? All he has done is requested to speak to some people? To me, the silence from the AD is deafening. Do you think its possible he already has his guy? Because if not it appears at least that he is doing nothing. Personally, I think he has his guy. I'm not positive who that guy is but I think its done one way or the other. If he were talking to people we would hear about it. I can find information on who all these other schools are looking at but nothing about TN till last night. If he is sitting in his office today I think its because a deal is done. Thoughts? Thanks for all you bring Skeet.

Two of the three guys you mentioned have only been at their respective schools for a year. I'm all for getting the best candidate possible, but even I would feel bad, especially after what we went through, by taking a coach after one year.

Im not sure if he has or hasnt spoken to anyone. He is not sitting around doing nothing, hes working hard on the academic side of things right now. Hes trying to reolve some issues that caused us to settle fro Dooley the last time around. If you listen to boosters, Hart has his man. NO ONE with in the ad has come close to saying anything like that. I think Hart has interviews set up for next week, thats assuming he doesnt already have his man. We're hearing very little inside the ad. sorry i cant bring more to the table, but im not listening to any boosters.

Thats cool, thanks. I am trying to take everything I hear with a grain of salt and piece it all together. Its just that its so quiet over there. Normally something would leak, someones staff would mention a meting and next thing you know every one knows. If he does not have his man and he is conducting a search he is in the wrong business. I think the CIA could use a man who can operate under the radar that well. Let me ask you this, if he is just starting the interview process do you think that would put us behind the other 2 SEC schools still looking for a coach? Thanks again Skeeter.

Mora makes nothing and UCLA cant pay much anyway.If you worked at a job for one year then someone came along and offered to double your salary, what would you do? Im sure you would give your current employer the chance to match or come close, but ucla cant hang with any big dog that wants Mora. Fedora wants out of UNC,

I see it the other way around, if gruden has been his man for a while like many claim, Hart is very very slick/stealthy.

Why won't Hart squash the rumors if it's not going to happen? He's going to fave a Lynch nob if it's not Gruden because of how ruled up the fanbase is about him. He'll have a PR nightmare if he let's everyone believe it's possible then ot doesn't happen.

Saw some projected odds if Notre Dame were to play these sec teams in bcsncg:

Bama -9.5
A&M -3.5
UGA -3
LSU -3
UF -1.5

I bet USCe would be close to being a favorite also.

Outside the sec I probably hate USC & ND the most but it's nowhere close to my hate for bama. If bama wins Sat I'll be rooting for ND (smh) but if uga wins I'm rooting for them. I wouldn't mind seeing M Richt win one. He's a nice guy.

Some might disagree with all the rumors about Gruden. That's the only thing out there and Hart has done nothing to stop it. My point is that if he is setting up meetings with other people that would be leaking out but instead he's apparently chilling at the office. That leads me to believe he has his guy. If he doesn't and he is still looking over a list we have to be behind.

So Hubbs and Hyams didn't know about this meeting until after it was cancelled? Doesn't it seem strange that this is the very first time anything has leaked to Hubbs about Gruden to UT?

I'm not buying it. Hart is playing this PR game masterfully. Pretty soon he's going to come in to save the day and "change Gruden's mind". Book it.

You're infinitely more confident than I am. I just can't see anything good happening to UT, anymore.

If we get Dykes or Golden, I can't say I'm confident I'll still watch UT football.

Or.......this is the leak showing he tried and Gruden rebuffed us. You could spin this however you wanted. Just like all the other "insider" info.

Yea its funny how everyone hangs their hat on it not being shot down by Gruden or UT but when that happens its just a cover up.

Gruden could have also said thanks, but no thanks. A lot of the Gruden hype is self-inflicted. I for once agree with the journalism cliches used by VQ and 247, "I'll believe it when I see it."

Why would Gruden cancel a meeting with Hart, when obviously no one knew about the meeting up front, if he was truly interested? I'll stay tuned if information comes out saying that Gruden couldn't make the meeting for a legitimate reason.

How was it shot down? They said he canceled a meeting. But also added can reschedule.

There was no shooting down.

Not saying Gruden is coming. But it's still possible.
