Nothing had been leaked before this news came out. Hart is not going to directly address the fans until a hire is made. Maybe this is how he decided to break some bad news?

IF, and I mean IF there is truth to this, Gary Patterson is one of the few names that would keep me giving a **** about UT football. Sorry I enjoy UT football, no other sports except outdoors stuff. I can only honestly say I would maintain my enthusiasm and contributions with very few hires outside Gruden. Patterson is one of them.

Agreed. If David Shaw wasn't a Stanford guy, I'd say him too, but he is.

I seen that on Twitter too. Rumor but who who knows. Golden would be a nightmare.

I am no longer buying that everything anti-Gruden is for the purpose of disinformation.

Seems to me someone is feeding disinformation to Hyams.

He certainly wasn't reporting on a meeting (or even hinting of its possibility) before this afternoon. And he very clearly suggested that the two sides could just as easily meet tomorrow.

So I don't know why posters are getting bent out of shape over this.

If you've been holding on to the G-Train until now, this just seems like a little bump in a process that's been going on for weeks.

What does scare me a little is that Tony said the boosters backed off in the last couple of weeks. This would line up with Hyams saying Gruden was upset over not being pursued hard enough. Hoping that just like last week this is AD trying to slow things down.

Gary is making $3.7 million at TCU and has 17 starters returning next year. He loves TCU and TCU loves him. TCU beefed up their facilities all around the the belief that Patterson was lifting their program up. I do not see him leaving TCU
