Wow, Hyams just got even dumber, if possible, saying that he doubts UT and Gruden would work out a general contract framework (via agents) before the two actually met in a meeting.

I wonder if the meeting had not been cancelled if Hyams would have reported it taking place?

Seems to me someone is feeding disinformation to Hyams.

Just doesn't add up. What purpose does it serve for anyone to leak the information that Hyams reported.

When seemingly nothing has been leaked from the AD during this entire search, the first bit of actual info is that Gruden cancelled some alleged meeting?? So you're telling me no one leaked info on there actually being a meeting scheduled with Gruden in the first place??

Smells bad.

IMO, our chances of landing Gruden plummeted with the news of Gruden declining to meet with Hart last night and then making his Mike & Mike UT/Browns denial.

Until there is final confirmation either way from Jon Gruden and/or Tennessee nobody should overreact. Both sides know who the fans want and they are most likely working to make it happen.

The more you react to every nugget of information, good or bad, invites people to post things just to see said reaction.

As it has been said here 49,283 times, relax and enjoy the ride.

This. Gruden cancelled a meeting...big deal. Maybe it is because he's wrapping up his stuff with ESPN chill out. A cancelled meeting does not mean that he squashed this. Stay calm. Everytime we get too high something comes out to squash us. I swear I think Hart has someone monitor this board so that he can squash us when things get to high. JMO

hyams is Debbie downer, but this is also coming from Hubbs. I don't think there is any way to twist it and make it pretty. Gruden has cancelled on us.

According to Hart it never was. No contract offered to Gruden. Just some rich folks gathering some money and Gruden sucked them in to a great PR move letting them think he would be coach. In the end our program will suffer because of GRUDEN.

Only a select few know the truth about the situation, and I tend to believe the words that came directly from the guy doing the hiring over what certain media personalities “in the know” are saying!
