As tight as this has been they never would have leaked the news of meeting being cancelled without intent. Also contracts not in hand to gruden is right because the contracts go to his agent and law firm not him..this smells like pure smoke

I'm firmly convinced that we will again have to rebuild the Old City if we hire someone other than Gruden.

I find it out that once things seem to be getting ramped up, all of a sudden a report of a cancelled meeting gets out. Convenient if Gruden really happening. How did news of this meeting just get out after being cancelled?

I'm sitting a work listening to people talk about the Gruden rumor today and the ESPN report. It quiet funny actually. My co-workers have no clue. They actually believe ESPN's spin that he's not interested.

Wow, Hyams just got even dumber, if possible, saying that he doubts UT and Gruden would work out a general contract framework (via agents) before the two actually met in a meeting.

remember, there are many fans and boosters of opposing teams who do not want to see Gruden hired at UT because they are afraid. They will do anything they can to keep him from being the VOLS next coach. Stay the course gentlemen

I have been adamant since the beginning of these forums that everything is just speculation and rumor about Gruden to UT as there have been no validated or concrete sources saying that he will take the job though on the flipside I do think there is a good chance because the way I see it, he (JG) has had the opportunity to say no if he is not interested, it would take a quick 1 minute press conference or phone call to simply say " I am happy with my position at ESPN and have declined any offers from UT for the HC position but want to thank them for considering me". It would be very easy for JG to put this to bed but the report on M&M this morning and the report by JH a few minutes ago still leads me to belive that this is in the works otherwise if there's no interest by either party then it is just too easy to say we are not interested, just my $.02.

Just doesn't add up. What purpose does it serve for anyone to leak the information that Hyams reported.

When seemingly nothing has been leaked from the AD during this entire search, the first bit of actual info is that Gruden cancelled some alleged meeting?? So you're telling me no one leaked info on there actually being a meeting scheduled with Gruden in the first place??

Smells bad.
