1. Didn't want to uproot the children. They did (still do) have kids in school, and many parents won't move their children without reason.
2. The Fired Football Coaches Association. The organization was founded by Jon and runs out of a Tampa office. Perhaps he didn't want to move it to another location
3. If you're traveling for work anyway, then why move away from the spot where you've already settled. Gruden was fired in Jan 2009 and hired by ESPN in May 2009, so he had a traveling job just a few months after the Bucs job.
4. The housing crash started in 2006-2007. Gruden was employed by the Bucs from 2002 - 2009. It could be that they would have had to sell their house at a loss at that time as the value could've fallen significantly from the time of their purchase.


All of none of these could've played into the decision. I'm just thinking of rational reasons that would've kept them from relocating.

2. It's not that big of a deal. Small office in old strip mall.

4. Gruden Net Worth Estimated @$24M. Not a big deal.

Here's a serious question for you guys. If gruden is indeed our coach now, why the wait? why would we not just announce it? out of respect for his friend dooley? i just don't get it, what are they waiting on?

I disagree. I think I speak for a majority of the FANS. The University, the PLAYERS, and the FANS need a hire of his stature to help return this program back to a NATIONALLY RANKED LEVEL. We have fallen to the point where we hope to beat Vandy, and play like like there is no tomorrow to beat Kentucky. Gruden may have been out of coaching for a while but I would venture to say he has watched as much if not more film that most coaches and coordinators in any league. He is a smart man and would have the contacts to surround himself with the best and lead the way. GO VOLS!!!!

Think of the publicity the school could get if they did an HBO 24/7 on this coaching search. It would be awesome.

Instead we get crazy rumors. Maybe we can offer him his own channel on Dish Network. Can call it Chucky Chat.
