Just heard that Gruden is asking for ownership in the Browns, the sign from the Last Lap tavern, a booth from the old Krystals and the naming rights to the Rooster sandwich. Man, this guy wants it all!!!!!!

Guys, I hate to say it...we all say where there is smoke there is fire when it suits us. I have wanted this thing to be real, and I hold out hope, but the denials have smoke, IMO...hopefully, I am wrong

I'm glad he finally stepped in and said something. These rumors are getting out of hand and have taken on a life of their own. Amazing what message boards can do.

I can't wait for us to find our coach and announce him to put an end to all of this. I support whoever we get.

I think you have to listen to the interview from Gruden's point of view. First off, we know for a FACT that there is something going on between TN & Gruden or parties connected to each. We know that. We just don't know where it stands for certain. The interview is a regularly scheduled appearance on that show for Gruden. He has to do the damn show every freaking week and he knows these clowns may ask questions that he can't publicly answer. He really doesn't want to lie so he cuts it off as soon as possible, meaning right away. Now maybe things don't work out but I don't see how he could have played that interview any other way without causing some serious issues for quite a number of parties. The thing about it that is significant as others have noted was the way he cut off the topic in question. He might as well have said, "STFU, you know I can't talk about that right now." jmo.

I'm a firm believer that Gruden ain't coming to Tennessee, but after listening to Mike & Mike interview Gruden, that didn't sound like a denial to me at all. Sounded like he was annoyed by the question and quickly changed subjects.

I hope everybody is doing well.

I just heard the m&m segment and thought I would come in and see the carnage.

I have to say that I am now convinced that he is going to be our coach. That was the worst non-denial I have ever seen.

The wife and kids thing was hilarious. What he was really saying is "my wife and kids are home packing and if they hear this they are going to freak out so I need to explain my response when I get home".

Anybody that had doubts should really listen to it.

It was the first question of the interview and the question was framed in a jovial/not-really-a-serious-question manner. The interesting part is that M&M were wanting to joke about the politics of those involved and JG clearly wanted nothing to do with that.

It gets exponentially worse (should Gruden not be hired) every day it continues.

Something (either a rejection or accepting of terms) has to break either today or tomorrow.

Otherwise, UT has managed to make the worst PR move in their history (which is saying a lot).

If Hart truly is waiting until this NYC banquet...then I weep for the future of UT football.

I will add though - if it IS Gruden... this is becoming quite a mountain of momentum.

That press conference would be epic for fan morale.

FYI... Bob Stoops denial means absolutely nothing either. The man still has a job, why would he profess interest in another school? Of course he's going to deny.

This is all supposed to appear that just lately Hart has begun talks w Gruden camp as opposed to weeks ago. This hire is a done deal.
