Did anyone think he was going to announce anything pertaining the rumor on Mike and Mike? An announcement of this magnitude will have all parties involved.

Couldn't the reason the shares would have to be given to the school be because the contract is between the coach and university and they can't offer something they don't own? It would be like me offering a part of a car dealership to the guy that cuts my grass.

He just was like nah....I should tell my wife that cause it effects her and the kids....and he was like guys I just don't have time for all that lets get into the nuts and bolts of Mike and Mike ....and he also said something along the lines of I am just trying to hang on to my job now....LOL like he is hard up for jobs .... so still 100% Gruden.....Face it he wasn't going on Mike and Mike and saying ye I am going to take some ownership in the browns and coach the vols.....so Keep the faith VOL NATION!!!!

I saw that, and he did. I don't think he's coming. BUT, he did sound odd doing it, didn't he? I don't want to sound like the "foil-hat" conspiracy people, but he never actually said he wasn't in talks with UT about coming. Just that the Cleveland Browns angle wasn't true and that he was happy doing what he was doing. Neither of those things prevents him considering the UT job. (again, don't think he's coming, just sounded odd)

He said he was just trying to keep the job he has now. He loves MNF.

Even with those statements, the way he reacted didn't seem like everything is completely false. He just kind of shut it down without further exlpination.

Heard Dooley may get job offer from Saban for assistant spot at Alabama from Bama Booster I know. What was rumor here about a coach at Alabama Gruden had gotten permission to talk to?
