Yes, the only illegal part is outside compensation from a pro team, not the involvement. It can be a contingency, meaning they sign a trust over to UT that says he gets the stake after he leaves, if he coaches for X number of years or whatever the terms are.

The Chancellor's presser last week, if I understood, allocates $18 mil over 3 years back to the Athletics Dept...would that mean we could offer him a BIG but short contract? I mean, could we only offer him 3 years or something like this?

I'm thinking that's just till there new tv deal starts kicking in. . Hart said something about there banking a lot of there funds coming from a new tv deal in 3years

to be clear I am referring to that letter, which when you look at it in thumbnail has a few glaring problems. 1) the font is a different shade in the body text than the header and signature block, 2) it also appears that the body text is a cut and paste job.

I am no expert, but it just doesn't have the air of authenticity.
