Sup guys and gals. Just throwing what i heard today out there. I work with a judge in nashville who also is a ref for the sec. He knows a financial person within the ad dept and she said the offer is 5yr 51 mill. Didnt know who the coach is but the financial person said somebody is about to get paid very soon

News channel 3 in Memphis just reported Gruden has a contract in hand and that it could come out as soon as tomorrow if he accepts the offer to be head coach of the VOLS with part ownership in the cleveland browns as some have reported on this forum. Just reporting what I saw with my own two eyes on the 10 o'clock news cast. Leaks are starting in the media.....

Gruden might not be the HC at Tn but I dont think he would use UT as leverage to get more money to another job.Not saying he wouldnt do it but as many friends as he has at UT, I just done see him using UT in that way.

I had to stop and lurk at Grudenville before my eyes
started hurting,and those guys STILL believe Gruden
is coming...well 50% Gruden,50% Peterson...

That WREG story is riddled with holes. Jimmy Haslam owns the Browns, not his dad. Poor piece of editorial work, but I hope it is based in factual information otherwise.

This will not sound like insider info because it's not a rumor, but fact. Nothing is locked. It is close, but still fluid at the moment. Gruden is still a possiblity, but other candidates are being talked to, and other names will surface through out the process. Friday is not a hard date for anything yet, so don't pin your hopes on that. You can tell very quickly who is in play by who has not shot it down yet, like Stoops has and others. When or if Gruden is no longer an option, you will know semi-officially fairly quick. Things are tight lipped and some of that has to do with the fact that, no decision has been made to really leak. All options are being looked at and there is a process.
