December 17 through January 3rd is NCAA Dead period where there is no contact allowed between college coaches and recruits. Mid December would be 2 days before the Dead Period.. Kentucky bagging Stoops today would give them a 3 week head start on the recruiting trail. I believe this is extremely important aspect of the coaching search and detrimental to our success in 2013 and beyond. Timing is essential.

Yeah. Same here. My wife has been somewhat understanding. Glad she's a Vols fan. Otherwise, this would not be going so well at home.

I glad I'm not married or living with my girlfriend at this point in time. I'd like to get out to Knoxville with my gf and show her why I'm a big Vol fan. I have only been to one game in Knoxville. NIU in 2008. Been to Memphis when the Vols played there with my dad who is from TN.

Yea, I just don't see this going much longer (though I'm a nobody). Just seems like terrible timing to announce a new coach a few days before the dead period if any other option was available.
