My point was that even IF, and it's a big IF, JG is the guy, they aren't releasing because they don't have a deal done and not to try to create some media splash. It's also possible they aren't releasing anything because they have no idea who the next coach is going to be!

The others are correct. A JG announcement will be a huge splash no matter when it is announced.

I disagree... An announcement today, although would be a splash, would be old news on Saturday. Not saying it is what's happening, but you will have a lot of viewers Saturday, if it is fresh news it will be discussed in front of a huge audience, great for recruiting.

I think everyone is referring to a media leak before then, not necessarily an announcement, but a leak from the press...TIFWIW...
