After watching Monday Night Football last night, Gruden seemed to look really tired. Not trying to read too much into it, but it could be tired from negotiations, interest, or more. Why else would he look tired?

If we are talking about coaches that have been mentioned as possible candidates.
Gruden. (#1 choice for hire) I'll give you the fact he hasn't had to recruit at the college level, but name recognition alone has players lining up at the door. Coaching was successful at the pro level, unknown if it would translate in college.
Strong. But that doesn't mean I want him coaching here. I'm not 100% on his coaching yet. The two bad losses to end the year put a bad taste in my mouth. Love his Def mindset though.
Stoops. And coaches well. My #2 pick for the hire. Probably won't happen though.
Butch Davis. But does he do it ethically and within compliance?
Franklin. He's just a damn good recruiter. Not sure I like his coaching style though for the UofT.
Tressel. Not gonna happen, too much NCAA baggage.
Golden. I feel he is a better on-the-field coach than recruiter. He did ok at Temple, Miami he was hampered due to the NCAA probs.
I'm not saying Golden would be bad in the long or mid-term and not 100% against his hire, but a boom hire is needed. He's just not a boom and would be a settle hire IMO.
Patterson is my #3 choice by the way, he has to recruit Texas and gets alot of the cast offs from Texas, A&M, Oklahoma, etc. But he coaches them up extremely well, much like Golden.
Just a couple things I heard that would carry me through the weekend. I really really do not think it is worth thinking about. Pretty confident Friday is the day using a "preponderance of evidence" theory along with personal things I have heard.
So you expect Friday but Monday is the day if it doesn't happen you get worried??
I'm of the opinion that since college football is such an integral part of ESPN programming, they probably would replace Gruden immediately. I can't imagine the rest of the college football world would find it palatable for him to be appearing on MNF while he is recruiting full bore for UT.
I believe this would be pretty much a conflict of interest from their perspectives.
Ok grillmeister let me put it this way lol
I will be VERY concerned but if no news comes out over the weekend; if none by the time I go to bed Sunday night I will have given up hope as that would invalidate a vast majority of the evidence and information that I view as true. It would take very very credible new info as to why for me to continue believing at that point.
