Ainge was not 100%. He was still uneasy about a press conference really happening but it does seem like this will happen.

It would apply because he is talking to current coaches it doesn't matter if he is currently coaching or not.

Not sure if it applies or not. If he is a non-NFL coach inquiring about a non-NFL coaching positions, the tampering rules should IMO not be considered.

Only if he is discussing NFL coaching positions, regardless of his coaching status, would they come in to play.

I like how physical his team is. It reminds me of how UT used to be.

Agreed. His teams play tough and are very physical. They play like a SEC school.

I like Shaw. His teams play good football with less talent.

It would have to be about the money. He is home, and can win big there. If one of those two were not fact I think UT could buy him.

You do understand the concepts of budgets and simple NCAA rules, right? Phil Knight is a booster just like any other booster who happens to use his alma mater as some sort of apparel side show.

You guys are unreal sometimes.

That's not a pro football team. It's a university. They have to follow the same rules as everyone else.

Gruden could have ended this with about an 8 sec statement on MNF, or to anyone...he hasn't either.

Does not make alot of sense for a guy to say he is not interested in a job, if it was not offered to him. Has it been proven as fact Gruden was offered the UT job?Why would he say on MNF I am happy where I am and will be here for a long time if he is considering coaching somewhere? Stoops, Fisher, and Golden could have said they were not interested(if they actually have) because they were interviewed or asked if they wanted the job. Several interviews do have to be conducted before a hire is made in most cases. Has a minority coach declined his interest in the job yet? That would be something to look for as well. Alot of unknowns right now.

The wrong hire now could put us back to the point when coach Dooley was hired.

I think we are now at the point we were at when Dooley was hired....relatively speaking....if records mean anything

If Hart sent out a press release that Gruden was out it wouldn't be perceived as a smokescreen.

Agree completely, I mean if Hubbs reported Hart told him that, which is what people have been saying would end speculation.

Thats what I was saying he can't be asking about a NFL job so it has to be a college job. It would apply if he was taking a NFL job.
