I don't see how pretty good can be made of the above suggested 2 deep....

Dallas, Pig, Bowles, and Croom would all need to play very well. We need North to be a part of this class. Harris could help too. I like Jacob Carter as a No.4 guy to help move the chains. Blanc needs to be moved back to defense.

I realize O'Brien's already been discussed, but for some reason it would bother me getting a guy who convinced a bunch of recruits to come to a school knowing that they couldn't play in a bowl for four years, and then bolts on them after one season. Just sayin.

That's a totally different kind of "bolting" than what kiffin did though. He was promised no sanctions and we all know what happened there

Sophomores would have to super Sophs. I Hope we land an impact RB. I think we really missed with Turman.

Jacob Carter lacks his elite speed, but he would need to be this seasons Zach Rogers.. reliable, great hands, great chemistry with Worley, and good routes so it's possible. He is a better pure receiver than Dallas already just not as good of a blocker.

Blanc could possibly grow into a Michael Bennett(UGA) type role. I'm going to get hounded because I'm comparing two white receivers, but they share similar skill sets at an equal frame of 6'3" 205lb.

Bennet is a lot faster than blanc. I don't see blanc ever making a significant impact for us. Jmo

Blanc should've been on defense all year while people were saying he was going to play big for us on offense. His skill set fits defense much better than offense. Unless he just can't tackle period on defense.

You may be right but I just don't see it. Doesn't have the speeed to play in the secndary in the sec. Which we know all to well about.

I know he's a walk-on, but I really like Jacob Carter. He's tough, willing to go over the middle, doesn't drop the ball, and seems to find a way to get open. I think he could be a solid contributor for us.

Of course someone on here said it. I'm saying I've seen him in practice at UT and don't think he breaks 4.5 prolly around 4.55

It wasn't just people on here saying it, it was also VirginiaTech mods as he did the exact same thing at their camp when he earned his offer.

Michael Bennett and Cody Blanc both are around equal in speed in the 4.5 range... even their HS rivals pages(not truly reliable) Blanc:4.41 Bennett:4.55

That means nothing. I've seen rivals have some crazy times on there. But anyway I just don't see him ever contributing. Some people do. We will see.

Hargis: Jon Gruden's name only one creating unified buzz for UT | timesfreepress.com

"I didn't have much of a relationship with Coach [Derek] Dooley or his staff," said Beech junior running back Jalen Hurd, who won the Class AAA Mr. Football award. "Who UT gets as its coach will help me decide how interested I am in them. If they were to get a guy like Jon Gruden, that would definitely be a factor for me. He's somebody you know has coached at the highest level and knows what it takes to win and to get you to that level. If he was their coach, that would be huge for me and I'd say for a lot of other recruits in the state, too."

No matter how good of a hire we make, if its not Gruden, the fans will be letdown. That's sad.IMO. He needs to kill these rumors if not true.
