I thought i read the banquet isnt until the 7th. If thats the case then hart is crazy for waiting. I dont believe he will wait that long. If he does by the time a contract is worked out the new coach would have just a few days before the dead period.

If Jimbo can't straight up own the ACC then I have no faith in him in the SEC. Strong still doesn't impress me with the whole big least thing he has going on.

If you hate the idea of Gruden so much why post in his thread? You say Miami is so awesome yet a story leaked about 300 people going to a home game. Could you imagine 300 people in Neyland? I dont like the idea of Golden as UTs HC. Facts are Miami sucks, look at the mess Ohio state is in and they are doing pretty well.

Well when you go from gruden to golden don't expect people to be happy. He turned around temple that plays in the big least and that is a good enough gauge to think he can do it in K-town?? I want Gruden and think we get him but going from Gruden to golden is VERY RISKY, don't expect people to be jumping for joy for Golden. Golden will never happen,IMHO!!GET GRUDEN!!:rock:

I believe Hart leaves next Monday for NY. (Not positive)

And Hubbs stated that he believed we would have someone in place by next Friday the 7th.

Then who the hell is besides Gruden?

U gotta have some more names in case he doesn't work out.. Because personally, I'm thinking there's a very good chance he doesn't... I'd like to have strong or jimbo for sure

That still leaves a week before the dead period. To me that doesnt match up with hart telling boosters they wont have to wait long.

Yep, that would be real smart stradegy, hire a coach that coached big least Temple and then went to Miami and is under scrutiny that he is cheating, thats what we need!:no: GET GRUDEN!!:rock:

I want to know how Jimbo Fisher isnt a good HC candidate.....Bowdens last few years at FSU were lets face it, mediocre at best...in 3 years Fisher has beaten Florida twice, and now sits on the verge of winning an ACC title with a team that went 10-2....a pretty nice season by most peoples standards. I want to know how anyone can discredit Fisher as a good coach, hes a hell of a lot better than what weve suffered through the last 4 seasons. Also the gruden thing...hes never been a HC in the college ranks, not all NFL coaches work as college coaches, hell Dave Wannstedt had the connect with kids down, but he didnt have the throw a wrench in your opponents game plan down..and Bill Callahan did so well at Nebraska....gimme a break, Gruden coming here is a pipe dream at best, if it does happen it will be nice, but it doesnt guarantee us anything, not all NFL coaches can balance the most basic principle of college coaching...you have to make a lot of 18-22 year old young men who think they know everything and have the world by the balls, buy into your program and respect you. Its more of a balancing act on the people person side than a NFL coach is, these kids are'nt pros, they're barely adults still.
