I have to disagree about Pro Football. College football puts it to shame, IMO.

Im not saying it happened.

My guess is that the contract isn't signed for 2 or 3 months in a lot of cases as the coach works under the MOU provides an out, but that seems kinda flimsy.

I'm not that worried about it, clearly they can hire a guy in 3 days minimum.

This has been talked about many times on previous threads. This job is exempt from having to post. You will not see any asst. coaches job postings either, the new coach will bring who they want to.

There is no minimum interviews and no Rooney rule. Has nothing to do with th time schedule for an announcement.
