Folks you can flame if you want but the Gruden deal is dead. It's not happening. Start thinking of who else you want all talks with Gruden are OVER.

I don't think that is exactly what he said. He just said they were looking to see if Gruden was making his best offer as opposed to what other big names may want.

Would the Athletics Dept have to give the $18 Million back to the Academics Dept then? I can't see why they would need it anymore if this is true.

Hart has used Gruden as a smoke screen to hire Mullen or Golden. Now that's sum strange logic.

The other names that have been offered up (that are REALISTIC) are VERY underwhelming . . . sans Stoops (and I don't think he's that realistic).

There are other names that appeal to me but they won't come here.

Pretty depressing, really.

Some people are in such denial they are going to be crushed when the next coach is announced and it IS NOT Gruden. I have no idea where people are hearing that they are still even talking to him but that's as far from the truth as it comes. The deal is DEAD.

Yeah, that would really get the fan base amped up. Get them fixated on Gruden so we can come to terms with a lesser commodity. This is the UT administration we are dealing with....
