I just want to remind everyone of a story I posted a while back:

While staying at my Uncle's house, directly across the street from the Avila Country Club parking lot -- I crossed paths with Jon Gruden jogging by (he lives 10 houses down on Guisando De Avila).

He spotted my ORANGE Titleist bag and Smokey headcover, and I **** you not said "Go VOLS!" emphatically as he ran past me.

At the time, I didn't realize that he even had ties to UT or about his wife. Just thought it was cool. This was over the summer in 2010.

I don't ignore him I just take him for what/how he is. He is like Basillio. He just tries to get a rise out of people. He's an attention seeker. He usually gets it too. Attention I mean.

No shat here...there was this one time...(about two weeks ago)...I was near ETSU and there was an official school UT van with state plates and all...there were some suits getting into it and I just happened to yell (for shats and giggles) "GRUDEN!!!!!!!"...

They all turned and gave me a quizzical, knowing grin...

They know...

I love the notion that coaching in college is "too much work"/"way more work" than in the NFL, and that somehow makes college jobs less attractive.

Right. Spurrier thought he could slack it and play golf multiple times a week when he coached the Skins. He learned quickly that that doesn't cut it in the NFL. Went back to college where he could live the Spurrier lifestyle (don't blame him).

Not sure about you guys, but the thought never occurred to me that Gruden would end up at ETSU...

I just read TB's talking points and they will make your blood boil. Accrding to TB, we are going to pass on Gruden so we can hire a Strong or a Mullen.

If that is even remotely correct, we seriously need to clean house in the UT administration. How do these idiots get hired and how do they get their jobs in the first place?

Too bad Jon didn't reach out after the KY game last year. Could have saved us a year of Dooley and the hiring of a bunch of new staff members (mostly Sunseri).
