They were clueless as to the reporting lines in the AD, the money from athletics, Dooley's departure and many other things so far in this saga. All of these things, followers of the Gruden thread were privy to weeks before they went down. Does it dawn on you that maybe they are clueless?

These newcomers don't believe because they have not been paying attention. Most thought that Gruden X was the original Gruden thread.

That is the worst part of the Dooley firing. It opened the floodgates from the football forum. This thread has become almost worthless since the influx.

I still believe that if it is Gruden it will be more like December 17th then November 30th.

Everyone needs to chill. The longer this goes without any official denial from Gruden or Tennessee the better (means talks/dealings are still alive). If the deal falls through Hart would want something official to come out that Gruden isn't coming to allow sometime for the fanbase to wrap their heads around the idea of another coach and to be excited for that hire.

Jimmy Hyams/Erik Ainge saying it isn't likely to happen isn't an official announcement either.

Also Hart legally has to interview a certain number of candidates correct? Hense why he is going to the coaching convention to get those done.

That was my first time listening ever....from outside perspective....that is purely an entertainment ratings show....If you change sides or make it look like you have new "source" info everyday...it makes people tune in! i.e Volnation linking radio show on message board.

The way they are all lining up I am starting to open my mind to the possibility they are right. I know Ainge and if he "knew" there is no way he would sound like this. He would have broken his neck to break the story.

Not basing it on any information, no one worth posting about have said anything to me in several days and the media pretty much forming a firing line against it happening gives me concerns.

Hope to hear something at work today as that is usually where I see and talk to people.

Still a believer but will lose a lot of confidence without any new info in the next day or two. I no longer think it is "done" outside the original agreement outline. Apparently the devil is in the details it seems.

Media, lack of new info, Bray now hinting he will most likely enter the draft, and the overall feel of things has me now at 70%.

Tenn will float out such a denial IMO. The Arkansas deal wasn't a confirmed turning down by gruden. Mortenson even said Arkansas never offered

Ainge says he's for Butch Davis getting the job now.He said he recently found out the NCAA will announce soon that Davis did nothing wrong at NC.

he reportedly makes $4mil+ for what is essentially a part time job, so that equates to close to $10mil for full time.

why give that up? there are other motivations in life than money, especially when one has all the money that they will ever need. he may just really love coaching, and his ego may relish the idea of being idolized in knoxville.

It is difficult to break a story when you know official confirmation from either party is weeks out. What do you talk about on your RADIO SHOW in between. You can't just twittle your thumbs.

They weren't exactly clueless on the Dooley firing. They were saying is was gonna happen. Just not sure of the timing, as nobody really was.

Didn't someone say LWS was one of Ainges source? As of yesterday LWS seems to be coming around, so I say Ainge flips back soon. He has done it twice already.
