Either hubbs is as lost as last years Easter egg...or he is saying what he is told to say!!! He's all over the place!! I am beginning to think him and babyavi are the same person......hmmmm

I posted this weeks ago. Gruden recommended LaneK to us when we hired him and I think it's possible he is going to end up doing that this time with his brother.

I dont know if any of those guys is a home run hire. Same with Golden.

They would be as underwhelming as Dooley to me.

If not Gruden, then Stoops. But I really dont want Stoops. Stoops is like Mark Richt, he can win enough to keep his job but almost always chokes when it matters most.

Someone told me about a "gentleman's agreement" among the SEC AD's not to hire Petrino...anyone else heard this? I can't believe that given all the backbiting that goes on behind the scenes....

That's a risk. This program is at a crossroads. One that can't afford to make the wrong hire. I'm sure he would be great but the scenario we face will not allow it. However I agree rather have him than the two mentioned.

If Jon can convince all 3 to stay then next year could be epic. A more disiplined football team and improve the defense and BAM!

We would be the laughing stock of NCAA football if we hired Jay and not Jon when the whole world knows we want Jon.

It would be like getting rejected by the hot girl and going out with her fat little sister.

I think he meant that they flew to UConn, which is where Edsall was; however, this isn't true because Randy just finished his second year at Maryland. I just left Maryland five months ago and know the coaching staff, so I can tell you Edsall was never in play with TN. Maryland is his "dream" job.

About 4, 4 or 5 star defensive backs alone will make the defense better. That is with zero coaching upgrade. If the right coaches.....whew boy watch out SEC!

Well back to UT football. Major development and it's a big one. A quick lesson on how coaching searches unfold. And now it has shifted into high gear. I heard that a UT media personnel has now been granted full disclosure within the athletic department. I am unaware of how this unfolded with the past hires but this is huge for the fans and public of Tennessee administration.....


Was not told who was granted control but after asking a few questions.... AND I DID ASK guys.... Simply put. This means you will now be hearing or reading the coverage as soon as tomorrow. As you know there has been zero coverage of this situation. But after today you will begin to hear the UT football search. This is the best way for administration to gain popular style control similar to pro teams using a spokesman. This is really also how media reports become available sooner than it's officially been reported.


Another source of good news for Vols fans is last night (found out this morning) that major Vol players in this search spoke to Jon Gruden once again.


So this is all good news for us. And hopefully in the next few days we will begin to hear as everything goes public.


And for those trying to crack it.... you are extremely close as it's almost there. And it will make sense and you will know the real _______.

I was talking about the part where Edsall was hired at MD shortly after the supposed blowing off of UT reps, then we had to fall back to Dooley. This can't be chronologically accurate because Edsall is in year 2 and Dooley was in year three.

Edsall better turn it around quick next year. His tenure has been bad so far.
