Lol. Your just confusing me now. I trust my friend that he's telling me the truth and i know they are friends. I just don't know bout Sexton being in the know.

I'm certainly not at liberty to expose his identity or situation, but he is defending the school theories and rumors because he has legitimate knowledge that is more than adequate (waaaay more) to either confirm or expel any rumors flying around in that arena.

The people that are resisting his confirmation are either pessimists or truly believe what they heard rather than offering any equity in what bcarter's is tryin to tell you.

He is fully engaged in that department and knows EXACTLY what is going on. So if you heard something about Gruden's family visiting a particular school and he discredits your source or your theory, he's not trying to fight you, he's tryin to share accurate information so some of these rumors can be dissolved because its not fair to you or the family's involved to have inaccurate information circulating. Believe me...he is NOT going to engage in a debatable conversation unless he is connected to the situation.

He doesn't work at Dairy Queen...trust me.

any claim to anything JG related...

True but the embarrassment we as a fan base and university have suffered as a whole is far worse. Fulmer did win the east once every 3 years and never lost to Kentucky.

Just saying.

I think it's more of "insiders" grasping on to anything to hold out hope they were right.

Ran into Ainge at halftime of the game today, and couldn't resist asking him directly if it was Gruden. He said no, and said something about "last night," which I took to mean things broke off after last night. He said UT had tried to get him, but it wasn't going to happen, and "it sucks" that it won't. Note: I do not know Ainge, so I wouldn't expect him to share any secrets with me, if he's running some sort of smokescreen until the AD lifts the embargo on reporting the true info or something. And it's also posssible he's being given false info and used without his knowledge. All I can say is that if Gruden comes, a lot of the Knoxville based media people are going to have egg all over their faces (not that anyone will care if Gruden comes). On the way to the game I also heard John Pennington say on the radio that while he thought UT had made some preliminary contact with Gruden some time back, people he trusts had told him doing anything with Gruden at this point was "DOA. Deader than Marley's ghost." FWIW.
