Unless u physically track the families every move, u wouldn't know if they have visited a school..

why are you amazed that people believe that the supposedly already hired football coach toured a local high school where his kids may attend?

If Phil was such a great coach why hasn't another college or pro team swooped in and hired him???

Gruden is my #1 b/c he has always been my favorite coach and he is an excellent teacher of the game.

He will surround himself with a top notch staff and and be very successful here.

Not at all saying that Stoops wouldn't do the things that I mentioned b/c he could..It's just that my preference is Gruden but would take Stoops in a heartbeat.

I agree with the poster you responded to. I also agree with name recognition of Gruden in recruiting but that may not be good enough in the long haul. I just choose the proven recruiter for that reason. Stoops

For his family. Just my opinion I am done even talking about it. Just amazes me, that's all. I think some people will believe anything when it supports what they want. If Hyams was saying Gruden has signed with a few small details to work out he would be a god to more than half the posters here. It's that mentality that makes us sound like Grudenville.

Done for the night, about to watch "The Campaign" and chill with my wife on a rare night we have the house to ourselves and the fireplace lit!

Bcarter for all we know you could be lying like a lot of people on this board, but what's funny is I wouldn't insult anyones intelligence by saying "I just know" I trust that like I would trust any "insider" on here. It's all rumors until the man is standing at the podium!

Like I said, I understand that point of view..

Gruden will need to prove himself on the recruiting trail and I believe he will do that.

My mistake, I did read what he wrote wrong. And I'm not searching through all of the post to find out how it's been proven false. Like I said, I don't think it did happen, but not everyone has seen how it has been proven to be false.

Exactly.. New ppl pop up wih info and get drilled because they don't tell exactly how they know something, but bcarter says, I just know.. And it's supposed to be the gospel..

Grudenville is ridiculous because its Arkansas, they get to a BCS bowl and act like Alabama.

What gets us looking like Grudenville is timelines that change every 5 minutes. It's 48 hours, to this weekend, to 11/30/ to 12/13, to GOD knows when. That kills the credibility. Hubbs is dead on. If Gruden was a done deal, it would be announced and Gruden would hit the ground running recruiting. Therefore, it's not a done deal. Still doesn't mean we have to act like hyams and say its a dead deal, it's not 100% to announce.

You nailed it. If this Gruden thing falls through, some people should be banned.

I'm actually good friends with many past and current players, as well as people who work in the AD, and i still wouldnt consider myself an insider.

Although, i will say, Hardesty has told me via text message that Gruden is a done deal.
