Again, is it possible that an announcement is made soon, but the official PC isn't until mid-dec?

were you given any reason for the 12-13 date... that is a unusual date with no real significance that I can find?

Maybe this 12/13 date is the drop dead date to have a coach in place? I.E. Gruden deal falls through and this is the absolute latest we need to have a HC in place by for recruiting purposes.

Or CJG gives his two week notice with ESPN on 30 Nov...which is the date after the 10 day window of hiring. I know there's some debate as to the 10 day window, but the timeline works out that way.

As other have stated, I don't see this going that long and could see an announcement in the next week. Or at the very least leaks start to happen out of the AD. I have no basis for that speculation, just feel like any later and we will start losing big recruits to other schools.

Exactly; there is no way in hades that UT waits 3 weeks to name a coach unless it takes that long to get one. I will bet the Vista Cruiser on it. Recruiting is too critical this time of year.

More than likely he is trusting his AD sources (LWS) more than his money sources. He's the only one that doesn't realize the AD is locked up tighter than a drum.

Seriously I can't say what I would do if in their shoes, but if the 3 of them, or even 2/3 would return if we get a big hire (Gruden) that would be great. We end up with a mid-level hire and the 3 of them go, it is truly a rebuilding job again. BTW, for those interested, just saw Louisville got beat by Conneticut earlier.
