It just kills me there there is no more UT football until next fall :(
Would have been nice to fire CDD a week earlier. We might be bowl bound.

It's simply astonishing to me how much vitriol is spewed forth in here when someone comes in with an opinion that isn't like y'alls.

It's simply astonishing to me how many of you are ready to proclaim Jon Gruden as the second coming of Robert Neyland.

It's simply astonishing to me how many of you are COMPLETELY blinded by a Super Bowl ring.

It's simply astonishing how many of you long for a sub-par offense.

It's simply astonishing how many of you are forgetting the fact that your savior had a HOF DC keeping him and his offense in games at his last job, yet still managed to finish only two games over .500.

It's simply astonishing how much fun I'm going to have if this deal does go through (which I pray it doesn't) and I get to say "I tried to tell you" WHEN he falls on his face.

It's simply astonishing how many of you "Vol fans" will probably sell all your Tennessee regalia if Gruden isn't hired.

(and to the fellas that 1: told me to kill myself, and 2: called me a s**thead.....auto-fornicate with a chainsaw dipped in gonorrhea, please and thank you.)

That post will go a long way in quelling the vitriol in this thread. Well played.

Dude, you do not come across a a nice person on here at all. I hope in real life you are nicer than your online persona. Online you resemble a horrible, horrible person.

He definitely "resembles" this remark. I know people like him. Would complain if given $100 that it wasn't $200. He derives his happiness out of others misery. I have fired many many good people simply because of this attitude.

can't speak for everyone... but I never mind a different opinion than I have... but there is no excuse to be a total arse in the process.

You want to come in an attack everyone else but when the shoe is on the other foot you whine about us being narrow minded. Well you may be right we are somewhat narrow minded...This is the GRUDEN thread you are in

PS. I don't wish any harm on you... but if Gruden becomes as successful as I believe he will be, will you sell you Tennessee regalia

Probably not, but if Gruden can't be the coach, I would love to have him. There would be 209 I'm a man, I'm 40 posts everyday. That alone should get him consideration.

Lol very true. My biggest issue with him or Briles is they are offense first then defense is pretty shi++y. Gruden, Stoops and Strong would have us playing defense I believe. Im undecided on Jimbo. I wouldnt be pi$$ed if he was hiredand we could do alot worse and would have a really good staff and recruit at a high level but not sold completely on his coaching. But on the other hand I dont follow FSU enough to know what kind of talent he inherited.

I am the opposite...not only am I glad it's over, I am having trouble remembering Tennessee football happened this year.....so sad.....:cray:

To me, it made sense not to announce the hire before KY.. Today belong to the seniors and a Gruden announcement would have taken the spotlight away from the team. I see no reason to wait now if it's going to happen. Steal the spotlight away from Bama and get the recruits talking.

Although I'm not fully positive Gruden is the new coach, I do believe the knowledge you just dropped is probably correct.

I stated in another thread that I met the former director of football operations at Tennessee. I asked humid he knew who the next coach was. He said "I was in the AD's office for three hours on Wednesday and Harr did not make one phone call". That doesn't sound like an AD that's still looking for a coach.

I found a $100 bill in a case of bubble gum being sold right under the cashiers window of the shell by my house yesterday. Promise I didn't complain.

Your Funny---just use some simple logic
The VOL fanbase is 1,000,000 plus. You got less than 1 percent giving the Gruden done deal opinion. The other 999,999 here the media. They dont think Gruden is coming. These folks on this thread are just having fun hoping for the best. Lighten up.
