I heard that also. Will West was telling people to pull there mattresses out into the streets, but not to burn them just yet. Something about Hart and Cheek are both going to be blamed if they let there ego get in the way. Says neither wants to give Gruden the control he wants.

Pardon me for playing devil's advocate here, but if the amount of control he wants isn't in the best interests of the team, AD, or school, then can you really blame them? We're quick to jump on someone for letting their ego get in the way, but I highly doubt that the monetary decisions made thus far would have been made if they weren't committed to making other concessions as well.

We can't always be looking for someone to blame. As I've said before, this decision is as much Gruden's to mess up as it is UT's. Believe it or not, he's not a god walking among mere mortals.
