I deducted that in-order to skirt the rules that boosters aren't allowed to donate money specifically to buy-out coaches that the University is giving $18m to the AD and then the boosters will donate that back to the University for academics.

Tax-wise I can't see any difference for the boosters or the University and the AD aren't completely separate (I believe) like they are at say Florida.

Cool. That makes sense. Thanks.

We already hired a minority anyway; a coach with a losing record.

Now that's some funny stuff right there. Good one.

I just get tired of seeing the same questions and the same misinformed answers. My wife has worked in HR for 15 years, 5 with a state run higher education system and she is probably wondering why in the last couple of days I am so interested in what she does when for the first 12 years of our marriage I ran the other way when she started talking about her "work"......

anyway, Go Vols!

Come on man...

@JimmyHyams

Possible UT candidates: Jimbo Fisher, Art Briles, Mike Gundy, Bob Stoops, Todd Graham, Al Golden, Charlie Strong, Jim Mora, Gary Patterson

@JimmyHyams

UT will not pursue Bobby Petrino or Jim Tressel. Relatively new names UT might consider: Dirk Koetter (Falcons OC), David Shaw (Stanford)

Take this with a grain of salt... Dr. Basketball generally doesn't know his a** from 3rd base.... or as Navin Johnson's Father taught him sh** from shinola

Hey Doc_vol, have you heard anything on an estimated time Monday? If you don't that's understandable, but I'm just curious what you've heard, if anything, on a schedule of events Monday. Obviously it won't be during MNF, but I don't know that I could see it being before without the attention being drawn entirely away from the game, and after seems a little late for this kind of announcement. So I'm just curious when it could happen. I'm fully aware this may be something I just have to wait and see about though, so no worries either way.

Bear in mind that what TN law requires and what UT HR policy is are two different things. Unless your wife works within the UT system she may be an expert on the former, but not necessarily the latter.

I can tell you the sky is green. That doesn't make it so. Facts are Hamilton was fired by the people that pay the bills and Dave Hart was brought in by the same men.

Yes, the power brokers fired MH and approved DH. I don't see anyone stating otherwise. If you do, quote it please. And yes the power brokers, are making this next hire, I haven't seen anyone say otherwise on that either. But if you think the power brokers made the decision to fire DD after Vandy you're wrong. Some of them, wanted DD fired after Bama, and all of them, wanted him fired after MSU. DH wasn't going to fire DD until a bowl game was no longer possible or until the season ended, whichever came first, that is fact.

AJeray4TN--you are on a roll like it is just oozing out of your pores.
I would have quoted each one with a :lolabove: but I'll go with a :clap:
