Ill gladly and proudly stand up for the insiders they haven't wavered and if silent is because they don't want to argue with people that simply want to try to discredit them. If you want to debate the issue that is fine but to try to call them crazy or trolls or anything in that neighborhood then don't expect a response! GO VOLS GET IT DONE!! GET GRUDEN! I BELIEVE!:rock:

He wasn't going to be officially fired until after the regular season in an attempt to keep team morale high for a bowl berth. Even after he was fired, he was still going to be retained until after the Kentucky game. It was Derek's decision to leave the team a week early. Nobody could have predicted that.

Think that was a bad rumor, Morris will not be OC under Gruden. Sounds like its J.Bates or most recently him retaining Chaney. Which im not fond of but he wont be doing much playcalling and would save UT money.

He's not said Gruden is off the table. But today he was talking about concerns UT boosters may have with investing that much money when some unnamed NFL people have raised some unnamed concerns about Gruden.

My friend who is still a student but interns in the athletic dept and puts in a lot of hours there told me that he's heard that there is a contract signed but nobody there has any idea who has signed the contract

My final thoughts for today. There's a ton of Gruden smoke around the HC position at UT. Dave Hart knows it's out there. We have "insiders" posting in this forum with varying points of view, but several corroborate each other independently, as to Gruden being hired. Nobody in an official capacity has disputed this. Only media, who's reputations are questionable to say the least, have done so. Therefore, with the AD's office on lockdown, the media access to info is no greater than anyone else. The silence coming from the AD's office is deafening. Bottom line, until I hear the AD's office say Gruden is out, I believe he's in.

Haven't read through since I posted last night. Saw some suggest the announcement will be Dec 10 or later.

Just to remind people. The dead period starts Dec 17th. This is Gruden's team and he will want to get some work in before that.

Well, if by chance it's not Gruden, I don't get that we are going to drop all the way down to Golden as second choice. That choice is unacceptable and I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Come on Tennessee!! Get over u'r ego about Control and hire Gruden. Im now hearing It's all about giving him total control. What R U doing AD Hart? If it doesn't go against NCAA rules u gotta make it happen. We can't mess this up.
