I'm as far south as you can get and still be in NE bama. I live near Piedmont.

I think I know where that is. I used to have a delivery route that ran through Ft. Payne, and then down through Albertville.

Have a safe trip, things will get better for our Vols.

Arky fans are likely laughing at you guys. The bottom line is that if Hart screws this up because he wants control of the process, then he must go.

Basilio saying he was trying to let people down easy about Gruden's chances of being at UT with his blog entry yesterday. Saying now on radio.

I like TB, but his story changes every day. He can not have this many sources that really know, because even sources that normally would be good do not know because Hart is keeping info to only a few. The only way some are getting info, is from outside AD, such as people that know Gruden. Like posted b4, it is in their interest to keep this going for their ratings until told they can spill it imo.

What happens to all the "insiders" when we hire someone else?

What happens to all the "insiders" when it comes out Gruden was never contacted?

What happens to all the "insiders" when Gruden is hired, but not until late December?

What happens to all the ones that say it won't happen?

For me the most telling part of this, other than Boro, DTO and others who I do believe, is that the rumors could be squashed by either party in about 10 seconds!

No one from either camp has DENIED anything!

Get ready for GRUTOPIA, GRUVONA, the land of Grilk and Honey!

Find it impossible that the OG's have engaged in the biggest Troll Job in human history!

They've all said they would stay around and take their beating. Some have agreed to be banned after their obligatory beating.

So help me God, if Gruden is indeed on board and he's hired, I'm calling every one of these radio shows and telling them "On behalf of Grudenites everywhere, please kindly suck it".

With their 30 second delays. They will not allow you to gloat. They will play it off like your phone lost connectivity.

Basilio has said all in the past few weeks:

-Hart wants to keep Dooley and rehabilitate him.

-Hart isn't making this hire. He will be told what to do.

-Hart may go rogue and get his own guy.

-Gruden is a possibility.

-Gruden isn't a possibility because Tennessee doesn't want him with his demands.

Seems solid... The man is guessing.

So Wednesday night the Gruden deal seemed to be leaking out and today the great Jimmy Hyams said it fell thru???? HMMMMMM?

Exactly.

Let me think. I need to stir some sh-t. This hyman (hyams) is good at what he does.

I think you will agree. Today is a great day.
We are one day closer to being relevant again.

Damn there are some folks around here that really want to see these guys go down in flames at the cost of the football program. SMDH

Hubbs suggested we have a list of potential coaches...believeable.

Hubbs also said Hart has not spoken to any of them.....not believeable...

Yep... Hart would be idiotically inept not to have begun discussions of interest with at least one potential candidate. Each coach he phones is just another of the "required interviews" out of the way.

I believe Hart will continue to contact potential candidates to determine who would be interested in coming to UT. He is probably still working with the powers that be to develop the parameters he can offer to each candidate, i.e., he can't offer Strong the same amount he could offer Gruden, etc.

I know we're all impatient, but Hart is doing his homework to make sure his $750K annual salary stays intact, so he will hire the best available for what Manning, Haslam, Thornton, and other "prominent donors" will pony up.

I would like to see a Gruden hire, but I will not get my drawers tied in a knot if he decides to stay with his cushy ESPN gig. There are a number of other good, successful college coaches available who would do very well on the hill. Patterson, Gundy, Tuberville, Mullen, Mora, Fedora, and perhaps even NFL-ers: Dungy, Smith, or Cowher. Many of these coaches should do us proud for less $$$ than Gruden, which would give us more $$$ to spend on an all-star assistant coaching staff.

GBO!

I really don't understand why Basillo (sp) gets quoted here unless it's solely for comic relief..

Are you saying we know he is our coach the 12th or we don't know until Jan 19th? I don't believe we have the time to wait that long, we have to finalize this staff and reach out to the recruits we still are going for or could steal. If we wait until the 19th we only have a month until signing day.
For Gruden we would wait 1 day before NSD.:lolabove:

Thank you! Exactly what I was saying. Just didn't want to dig up his old quotes.
