This is not a shot at you babyavi, but seems like some in the recruiting forum see the potential of a lot of 5* players. As with Dooley was here, stars didn't matter. Now all of a sudden they matter? Hey, ill admit, I've always been a star gazer. And I think you see the players Dooley recruited are not on par with the Bamas, ga, or lsus. I think there is some coaching staffs that can coach up a 2 or 3* player. Not the current coaching staff.

Its all good. The only thing we can do is dissect the 25% that was alluded to but left out of the statement.

Gruden having full control is the least of my worries..That's why he'll be getting paid a boat load of $$$...We need a coach like him..

And I can't wait to see his fiery attitude at work on the sidelines..It will be a refreshing change b/c Dooley had the personalty of an egg on the sidelines..A good coach should get in the ref's ear if there is a bad call and get in his players faces if said player isn't doing his job on the field.

I mean I think this is what the boosters are doing to some extent. They realize , wow we can actually get him, do we want him? ha ha, its a complete 180 from previous coaching searches.

Do you guys think Gruden would be the best Xs and Os coach in the SEC or even the NCAA?

It is hard to top Sabans gameplanning on defense. Now he has a huge advantage of having the best possible players to run the postions. If he has to start sharing those top players I believe Gruden and Saban will have some slobber knockers. May come down our passing game against their downhill running game. Early on Saban will have an advantage as he has had several recruiting classes. But 3-4 years in, I would expect to split and also to meet almost year in year out in the SEC Championship game. As for other Xs and Os coaches gimmick schematic coaches like Chris Peterson, Dana Holgerson, and add Brian Kelly to the mix, he draws up great gameplans.

Payton and Brees are attached at the hip and with the long contract Brees signed this year I doubt he goes anywhere. Payton personally recruited Brees to the Saints.

They were talking on the local sports radio down here that no coach has ever won 2 Superbowls with 2 different teams so that could sway him a little.
