I watched that NFL films piece on "cursing", man is Gruden fiery on the sideline. He is going to scare the **** out of opposing coaches and the referee staff. He has a lot of pride and passion in coaching. We need that.

Have you ever watched where they went inside the Tampa bay practices and watched how he interacted with Chris Simms? He was brutal with him, I don't think there's anyway Tyler Bray would survive with him, he's not tough enough mentally. That's the only thing that bothers me. He'd have to have more patience with his young qbs.

Spoke to johnny majors today on the lynchburg square( he has family down here) and I asked him about the coaching situation and he believes the deal is done and were keeping it quiet until after kentucky game. I then continued to ask him whom he thinks we signed and he said he can't specify but its a good hire. Hopefully its gruden.

I think we are all reading into that comment too much. When I read the same sentence, I thought that he was insinuating that too much information could compromise his source or maybe the deal.

I just can't see UT, on probation, even trying to negotiate around ethical conundrums at this very delicate juncture in our history.

I agree I want him to have who he wants. I do. But I'd hate to let this slip out of our hands for a million or two more a year.

Bray needs structure. He doesn't need to hear how great he is all the time. A swift kick in the butt isn't a bad thing for out of control kids.

All of this doesn't worry me as he has family locally.... I do not see him doing something to embarrass himself and the folks that have called Tennessee home so long....
