I think Skeeter has been in on the Gruden situation this whole time. He's been pushing a bunch of smoke our ways.
1. At first all he was hearing was Smart but would always say we're going to go after a proven coach.
2. Chips are falling in place and he's trying to cover them up after he said Hart told the boosters to put their money where their mouth is.
I'm calling BS smoke on skeeter is this one man.![]()
Double down on that statement. As much as a majority of this forum wants Gruden - one thing remains - he is not a proven college head coach. Mora, IMO, the minute Washington feels Sark is no longer the man, Mora would bolt to the Huskies.
The main positive I see with Gruden is recruiting. UT spends the most in the SEC, and probably the country on recruiting. I can't help but think that having the Gruden name as head coach would have more kids contacting us rather than us contacting and visiting them. Especially if he's successful.
Its been common knowledge for years Gruden wants complete control at his next stop. With Cheek here that will not happen. Like ive said, Maybe gruden relaxed his demands, i dont know. I have no idea whats going on with Gruden. I do know Hart has plans of speaking with other coaches not named Gruden.
He needs to. I'll add, that I wish CP could get his grades in order and return as well.
I'm still skeptical of the Gruden hire happening. This feels eerily familiar to the Shannon situation on Steroids
The entire triumvirate needs to come back to improve their game -- none of the three (Bray, Hunter, and Patterson) are ready for the league. Bray needs a lot of maturity and needs to concentrate on the mental aspect of the game. Patterson needs to learn that one of the things that receivers are expected to do in the NFL is to run routes, a concept which is totally foreign to him.
Hunter is not even close to being the uber explosive, athletic wide receiver that he was before his injury. In fact, since he came back this year, he has been an average SEC receiver -- and one who needs to concentrate on actually catching the ball, especially when it is crunch time. Personally, I believe that Rogers has been a better (and more reliable) receiver this year than Hunter.
Just my opinion...

Hey nick, if your around, would you mind going over to the Gruden thread and reposting your "manifesto" of what a VolNation insider looks like and the things they say with the fill in the blanks and subsequent options? Someone new pops up fitting that profile twice and hour at least. It's really comical, TIA.
