Folks, it looks :)like it is actually going to happen. It will be announced Nov 30th is what I am hearing.Looks like he was offered a share of the cleveland browns. If they knew I posted on here I would get fired. Can't help it. Love the Vols. Love the Vol fans. We have been through 4 full years of total crap. It is all about to change. Enjoy the holiday and a win over kenturkey. Oh, forgot, Bray is staying too

This guy.

For some reason, I'm not able to pull this thread up on my phone anymore so I am posting via my computer. I found this article that some may find interesting in regards to a similar timeline we're dealing with in regards to Gruden.

Disregard who the article is about, but pay close attention to the timeline. I have a feeling this leaked earlier than they wanted.

You want a synopsis of recent events/opinions, head to the cliff notes.

If you like discussions about liquor, women, hunting, bars, knoxville, inappropriate comments in general, or an occasional gem concerning the next HC of the University of Tennesse, Jon Gruden, sit down and enjoy.

Don't forget the side conversations about avi's dude.

Why would you think that CJG would target the same recruits that Dooley would? Hopefully, he is looking for the top recruits that fit his system.
This is the coach that eats 10 miles of film before breakfast every morning.I think he has looked at film on all our recruits ,current players , coaches, janitors, cheerleaders,AD Staff, and even band members. He is legend in the league for his prep time and film study.Hes the type of guy couldnt sleep at night if he hadnt done that.Mark my words .We will never look unprepared as long as he is coaching us.I can not wait to watch him recruit. In the NFl he had no control over player personel or salary cap.He will be like a convic let out of jail.Him recruiting will be special.Whom ever and where ever.No ones recruiting ground will be safe.

Please be aware that at least two official interviews will be conducted with coaches not named Gruden.

Also there is a minimum time frame the job has to be open - something like 10 days or two weeks I think.

As a state run institution ut must follow certain guidelines.

With all that said, sit back and enjoy your thanksgiving.

Good news will be here soon enough.

22 year old is. 15 around 90, 20 around 150. Hard to find any of it. Only distribute a couple of times a year. need an "insider" when it arrives. The Winkle Lot b does come in under 100.

I'm going to ask around and snoop around the prominent liquor stores around here. The problem around here is, these people think Canadian blend is whiskey. It makes me break out in hives. Kentucky bourbon like that may not exist here...I'll find out tho!!

You know this is kind of like when you are a kid and see your Christmas present before it is wrapped, but then have to wait until Christmas day to actually open it and play with it. This is going to be a long few days.

Wasn't Dooley announced just a few days after Kiffin bolted?

Good stuff. But what I am wondering is how we were able to hire Dooley after the job had only been posted for 3 days?

I may have missed it being discussed, but did anybody else hear Lance Thompson calling in to vol calls tonight to talk to Chaney?

Really classy move, and seemed to really like Chaney.

Made me hate Dooley a little and also wonder how things may be now if he had been made DC.

Gonna be a long nite for me. So gonna keep thread alive. My sons 8 month old filly is colicing.

So keep the humor going guys. Gonna need it

Sorry for you and your little man ... My son will be 3 months the first and he's starting to what we think is colic ... Helpless feeling...

This is eerily similar to our current situation.

How was this avoided for Dooley?....or Kiffin for that matter?

He worked under an MOU for several months while his contract was being worked out.

All of the interviews were phone interviews, and the job was posted after he was announced.

Well that makes the 30th make more sense. If they have to interview 2 candidates I say don't wait on a college coach to build their egos. Id interview a couple of local high school coaches if Gruden is indeed inked. Good for like George Quarles to have a colleg interview under his belt. Kind of throwing him a bone.
