Has he denied it?

I thought he's only said that he's heard nothing about Gruden.
Best I can tell, he hasn't flat denied it but he does act like there is no way because he hasn't heard anything. Even when a ton of other insiders/media folks are saying it's basically done/done.

Then why say anything? Why deny so hard that he's coming? If he didn't know, I would think he'd just keep quite or at least say it was a possibility. But instead, he says he has no idea when anyone is talking about...it's very strange.

You have a choice to make in all of this, it is not a difficult decision to make. I will caution you to choose wisely because there is plenty of "smoke" other than what is in this thread as in national media talking about it.

I personally respect LWS and the info he provides but if my employer had my office on lockdown, I would deny and keep my mouth shut as well.

Based on Carter's latest info regarding a text he received it's looking pretty obvious why certain folks, not just LWS, are saying what they are saying.

If Gruden gives up his newly signed contract to coach college football, then he is an absolute fool.

The man has the job that most NFL coaches dream about getting when they retire from coaching.

2 years of subpar football and the fickle UT fanbase will turn on him in a heartbeat.

At this point there is literally no news that would make me waver in my certainty!

We have the Big Fish, even bigger than this one my wife and her friends caught this year while we were taking a boat ride!

She didn't say it was a done deal. She said the TN source said it could happen, but the NFL teams could come calling.

I was told this is what she said, "I know some people very close to Jon Gruden & people connected at Tennessee and they've both told me to not be surprised when it happens"

Per TOS:

Hubbs says he doubts Gruden will come to Tennessee. LWS backs this up, suggests Gruden was unwilling to compromise on his demands.

EDIT:

Hubbs claims he did NOT suggest that he was doubtful, but that it was Hyams who said that. Says he'll believe it when he sees it.
