The Zone Edition: Face with screen name thread.

Thanks man. Im sorry. Im glad to hear it gets better, but I cannot imagine that happens very fast. Sucking the life right out of me right now.

Hang in there Bill. I lost my dad 10 years ago and it's hard but gets easier with every day that passes.

Bill, this time of year this early after your loss can be tough. Focus on the laughs and great times. Picture how he wants to see you and your family celebrate the holidays and don't be a Jackwagon and make yourself feel guilty.

I know what you're going through, Bill. We always had Thanksgiving at my aunt's house and we lost her to brain cancer this past year. She was the relative I was closest to outside of my immediate family.

The first holidays without her are going to be real tough. We considered going out to eat, but decided that would be equally depressing as going through the same old rituals without her. She'll be with us in spirit, as I'm sure your peepaw will.

Thanks folks. I really appreciate it. I know it has to get better. I consider myself very lucky have had a great relationship with a great man. That relationship makes it harder, and easier, both at the same time.

Sorry for your loss Bill. My thoughts are with you

Thanks folks. Yeah, the holidays will be tough. We hung his "Bah Hum Bug" sign before I left town, so it is ready to light up after Thanksgiving. And his inflatable Grinch will go up this weekend also.

Pops would be pissed if we stopped living life as normal, but that wont make it any easier. We will move on with heavy hearts, but with lots of great memories, and plenty of things to smile about.

Pops official sign that Christmas is near.

He made this sign about 25 years ago. He had hung it every year since. My brothers and I got it hanging before I left town.

I had received a lot of emails from friends who were worried that the sign would not go up now that my dad has passed, but it will be there as long as there is a house to hang it on.

Inflatable Grinch will be on the porch next weekend.

I need to make one of those.

I need to make one of those.

3 pieces of sheet metal. A **** ton of holes, and 3 strands of lights. The toughest part is laying the holes out correctly, so that your strands of lights work out right.

Best way to hold the lights in would be hot glue. Then you just have to reheat to remove them if you have a bulb go out.

I should market these bad boys.
