I just got so PUMPED!!

I read about the possibility 2 months ago. Came from a smart and connected person.

I heard the possibility lately, mainly because Saban would do it because Haslam would give him the control he would want, that he didn't get in Miami... seems plausible, although usually in February or later for NFL job season.

Nooooooo!!!! I want Saban to be here to take his medicine when tennessee gets back to the top. Kills me that Meyer got out before we could beat him, don't want Saban to get out unscathed too!!! If we win I want it to be against the best they can throw at us!!!

Well, with Gruden at the helm, I would be willing to bet that we haven't seen the last of Meyer.

We'll have that opportunity one day.

Once its no longer a rumor or speculation, I hope the mods will let the JG thread live in the FF cause there's no where else I wanna be. Damn I love you guys! :cray:

But you're crushing my dreams living in bamaland! I won't hear the wailing and nashing of teeth!:)

I just want to beat the midget while he is in his prime... I remember the feeling that last year of the bear and when Major's team beat him... I want that one more time before I can't remember anymore...ha ha

who would Bama turn to? Surely they would not promote Smart. I bet a big name coach would come out of the woodwork and take the job. I am sure they'd get a good one, just not another Saban

:)

Fulmer quote

"Somebody that's committed to winning championships and being the best that they can be, with a chance to compete in a conference that's nationally recognized. I'm not going to go walk into a door somewhere that you have no chance to be successful."

Sounds a lot like what Gruden says and to add to it neither Gruden or Fulmer have coached since 2008.

If you have proof no one wanted him links plz.
If not your argument is weak at best. Also I don't believe it was Fulmer who put this program where it is you can thank Hamilton, Kiffen and Dooley.

"I guess I have to say it. I'm not going to be the Browns coach." -- Nick Saban

This may have been said, but Hyams (I know, Hyams) reported on Nashville radio (104.5) that UT is, in his words, the only university in the country that takes the amount of money it does out of the AD and puts it into the University. Not the SEC, not BCS schools, the country. He said if not for that, the UT AD would have a surplus of around $50 million over the last few years.

Again, I know it's Hyams, but I don't think he'd be that off about it. If true, this isn't the AD stealing money from academics. It's the AD keeping what they earned all along. Believe me, I'm a fan of academics, but lets not let that block our view of reality. This is money people have paid and/or donated for athletic reasons.

This is absolutely true and correct.

I fear it will die personally, the ff guys will invade, backslapping and laughing and saying they knew it all along and bring with them all their trash.... Enjoy while we can brethren!

I cant stand polls on this site but I am willing to bet that 70% or > would be willing to pay a little increase on ticket prices next year.

I am willing to bet that ticket sales are up big time too if Gruden is hired.

Don't really have to. Just go to the games and SPEND MONEY!
