That was a huge factor. Everyone thought going into that press conference Peyton was a goner, especially after Shuler had left just a few years prior.

A QB considered the likely number 1 draft pick staying in school for his senior year was unheard of at the time.

He had already graduated. He worked on his masters. Orange blood for sure.

Dude you know we have to have at least a defense right? We had the worst defense in the history of UT football, the WORST in SEC Play. Enough said.

Not to mention choke artist Bray. The one consistent thing in the last 3 years has been Bray not showing up when we needed him.

Early and often!

Talked to a walkon that didn't make it at UT this morning and he said Dooley had a HORRIBLE mouth. Not sure if it's true but assume it is coming from someone that would have been around him at lease some.

For some reason I hadn't seen Dooley as the potty mouth type.

According to a source in the AD that still talks to Kiffin, Kiffin loved TN and has nothing but good things to say about us! The ONLY reason he left was becasue USC really was/is/was his dream job

That's what I was thinking. Doesn't make using us as a stepping stone until his "dream job" came available alright.

It was a defensive problem. Nick proved it statistically. :salute:

....so the dropped passes in key points..jumping off sides penalties and inability to run the ball most of the time weren't important? Come on now. Doesn't pass the smell test.

You ever read his lips during game play?

You don't have to lecture me about our defense but our offense had the ball at the end several times with a chance to win and DIDN'T. You can blame that on Dooley, Bray or Chaney or all but it is a fact.

Exactly, GA, SC and Mizzou being the 3most biggest.

Maybe I am in the minority, but I am more than fine with Chaney staying. I like the guy and think for the most part he has done well. He has been good for UT during a tough stretch and players love him. Him working with Gruden would be great with me. I would be even more pumped to have Graham stay and Martin come. I like Hinshaw too. I dont think there would be any scenario in which I would not like Gruden's coaching staff.

Oh yeah.

I'm telling you guys:

If Bray and Co. stay (including Chaney) we have a real shot in the east next year with Chucky and Morris (Zook) at the helm.

I was actually told that in year 0 Vince was brought in to help him understand he could not talk like a sailor in certain situations. That's right they called daddy to have a talk with him about his mouth in political settings. No joke guys I know this to be fact.

IMO Bray is not good under pressure. Was not, is not, and will not be a closer. He can kill a bush league opponent though.

Situational play calling was spotty however, Gruden will have a major hand on that and likely much of the offense. Chaney did well under Kiffen similar scenarios IMO.

ITSGR82BATNVOL

On behalf of Vol fans everywhere, a sincere "Thank You" goes out to Anderson, Egbert, Campbell, Haslem, and Manning (the architects of the artesian well) for bringing much needed water (JG) to what has slowly become a baron waste land.

Who is that? I saw it in the cliff notes.

I talked to him at SEC Media Days the last two years, and when he was off the record, it was obvious he hadn't taken pop's lesson to heart.
