Jack never said Gruden. He has not said who at any time. Only that the coaching search is done.

Regarding rumors circulating since the spring, Basilio has said on multiple occasions that two big boosters came to Hart after the Kentucky loss, offering to pay for Dooley's buyout.

To be fair to Jack, he did not say Gruden specifically, although Gruden's name seems implied.

He said yesterday that he didn't want to ask his source who the coach is, he just wanted to know how it went down. But it's highly implied that he's talking about Gruden

Completely off topic but why does Peyton get all this love and glory but he never won a NC or beat Florida but Tee did both and he hardly gets any recognition. Believe me I absolutely love Peyton but its a question I've had for a few years now. Ok I'll hang up and listen now.
