Why? He may have already said too much. Do you not think a guy that played on the National Championship team knows what type of mental anguish is acceptable or isn't acceptable in college football?
It isn't important to know the exact details and it isn't any of our business, but the coaches obviously upset DY a lot. They definitely crossed the line considering DY is arguably the hardest worker and one of the most liked players on the team. It wouldn't be like this over something minor. Its also no coincidence that DY is returning to practice next week.
Having played college football myself, I know what coaches say and do. You have to be mentally tough. I can not think of one thing that any coach could say to me that would make me a basket case.....and believe me I heard plenty some pretty harsh things in my day. College coaches would make sailors blush.
Unless I knew what what was said, it is hard to feel that he was wronged.
You just named three coaches that coach at programs that would pull in top recruiting classes no matter who the coach is based on instate talent.
