I don't see him going to Arkansas. If he wants to coach in the college ranks, I think it's between here and the NFL or staying in the broadcasting booth. But personally, I don't think he will come here.

Thats what I think too, but just Arky being a possibility makes me sick. Chris Lowe, Hubbs, Mortenson, and even La Canfora said that the Tennessee job is the one he would look at it if he decided to coach in college football.

What did they supposedly do?

I think it is fair to say that Devin's "issue" was caused by staff/coaches crossing the line. No kid should have to go through what he has. He deserves more.

As for Devrin, it seems that some on the staff have lost track of how you are to speak to young men. Devrin should be applauded for showing restraint. He is fine and moving forward. But the respect factor for the kids needs to be much higher over there. And Young deserves it as much as the next guy.

Thats what Buck said and Carlos Younger hinted towards it too. Thats really all we need to know about the situation. Hopefully the next coach knows how to treat players.

Bruce Feldman tweets he wouldn't be surprised if Gruden ends up in Knoxville. Then states he WOULD be surprised if he ends up at Arkansas.

If he goes to Arkansas, I'll be sick to my stomach.

I think if Gruden took a college head coaching job it would be Tennessee. The hang up with him taking the tennessee job would be control, he wants total control and thats just not gonna happen here. The boosters have been pushing this Gruden thing for 2 months. I just dont see it happening unless he eases up his demands for control. Tennessee could be paying upwards to 7 million in buyouts plus 10 million for Gruden and his staff.

Take someone like Mora, he makes just a little over 1 million per year, double his salary and you have lots of money available for great assistants. Things will get interesting.

The 3 names i hear the most are Mora, Strong and Smart. Hart is slick, very few people know what hes thinking. He wants someone with ties to the south.

I think most people within the ad are safe, Hart seems happy with whats in place. He fully understands some hands are tied from the academic side and everyone is working to resolve those issues.

Ties to the South? Why the hell does that matter?

I want a coach with ties to WINNING.

If Gruden wants control, then they should give him control. What could he possibly want control over that the AD wouldn't grant?

You serious clark? It matters quite a bit for recruiting purposes.

Dooley had plenty of ties to the South. How did that work out for us?

Until we get back on top, we'll be fighting over the rest of the SEC's scraps anyway. I want a guy who can recruit nationally.

The thing that worries me about Mora is that his recruiting hasn't exactly been stellar at UCLA. Its not bad, but I guess I expected a better class than that.

Outside of the current situation, Dooley did fine recruiting with what he had (a losing team).

That is a lot of open innuendo. If anyone is going to make such accusations, they should make them clearer.

College coaches do say and do things that high school coaches can't do. They should not punch or slap any players for sure, but college players are subjected to a lot of mental anguish by coaches at every school.

And recruiting was not the problem with Dooley when you consider our win loss record with him. We need a coach that can both win and recruit and the recruiting part is helped a lot by having ties to the south.

Why? He may have already said too much. Do you not think a guy that played on the National Championship team knows what type of mental anguish is acceptable or isn't acceptable in college football?

It isn't important to know the exact details and it isn't any of our business, but the coaches obviously upset DY a lot. They definitely crossed the line considering DY is arguably the hardest worker and one of the most liked players on the team. It wouldn't be like this over something minor. Its also no coincidence that DY is returning to practice next week.
