So Gruden is at the ritz in san fran right now. My best friend is staying there as well making sure he and his family are all decked out in Vol gear when they leave the room lol. He said he would try to get a picture and ask him if he would go ahead and save us.

No. Never have I seen a press conference where one coach is fired and in the same news conference his successor is named (this does not count interim coaches obviously).

New coach will most likely not be named until after season or in the weeks after the season.

Sorry didn't mean to start something about the decision hinging on the kids, was just responding to CutinClose ab his latests news ab a potential glitch. I waffle between 90-99% sure that Gruden is coming, but really have no clue - just my gut feeling. I don't think anyone can say unequivocally that parents don't do this or don't do that - everyone is different.

Jon Gruden reportedly linked to Tennessee job - NFL.com

Tennessee is a more logical fit because Gruden's wife went to school there, and there are signs he could be eyeing a college return. Gruden has reportedly been calling potential staff members with the focus on asking questions about recruiting and other issues that no not make sense if he was looking at a return to the NFL.
