Honestly, we are all sick of the mess that this has become. Tired of Dooley, tired of losing, tired of seeing what this great university has become as regards to football. And tired of defending just saying hello.

As for me, I still feel as strong as ever on Gruden.

Huge crossroad for this university. Wrong turn and it may never get back on it's feet in football.

Other than OV all of them have been absent for awhile. I think we are about to find out who knows what is going on.

BCarter has been in here all morning... So was Gman... unlike some of you guys, they actually have a life of their own.

No one has backed off anything....so simmer down

I also have a friend who has been in the AD for years. He knows recruiting and other interesting info, but nothing about the new coach...if he does then he aint telling me

Yeah same here, my brother in law has little to no info from the ad guys.

What the hell are you talking about? :loco: That's some straw man argument you go going there? Didn't say anything about rushing to hire just anybody, to save recruiting. Learn to read before you post.

I said his MNF obligations should naturally take a back seat to the demands of his new job. It's a critical time for a new coach. He and us both lose a lot if he has to wait til the end of December. Jaws can handle his spot just fine.

Sorry man, I dont think my reply was worded very well. I didn't mean to imply that you were saying we should hire somebody else, and I wasn't really trying to argue with you at all.

I was just trying to say that, IMO, the recruiting thing will work itself out and that if Gruden can't get out of finishing the MNF season, then it will still be worth it.

I didn't mean to sound like I was taking you to task. My apologies.

Their evaluations will be updated after season's end, and you'll see a big change there.

Believe me, NFL teams don't show a lot of respect for good players on losing teams. See Arian Foster, for reference.

Yes, the team sucks, Hunter and Bray do not. Like I said earlier, they will both shine at the combine and teams put as much stock into that as they do their playing careers.

How is Stoops getting away with his commercial with his OU jacket on talking to a young high school player??? That's BS if he could do that I do not see why Gruden couldn't call from the booth. I beleive it will get worked out!! GO VOLS GET GRUDEN!!! I BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coach k is on kinds of commercials. No biggie.

I have been called out several times for saying the same thing....said I was bashing Dooley...but I am with you Smokey...NO WAY any coach could be that stupid..it has to be an FU Vols

There's no way to prove that's what he was doing b/c we're not inside of his brain(Thank God)..But from the average's fan perspective, this is what he's doing..Pretty obvious if you ask me.

There seems to be some serious concern that there may be some personal items that will keep JG out if Knoxville... That all I am going to say about that..... Nobody's business if it is something to do with his personal life....:hi:

Yes I know my info doesn't match everyone else's again.... Flame away if you want...:good!:

Oh for the record....I heard that his wife and kids were in fact in Knoxville last week... I do not believe it was related to the job search though (if they were actually here)...

I realize we are "not suppose" to post this part as other members get in a tizzy about it, but that is what I was told.... Let me say though if you flame me on the in Knoxville part again I am going to flame back this time... :salute:

Flame em cut, still believing the deal w cut and haslam is in play hahaha

You're just regurgitating what Tony B said this past week, about concerns he may not have the temperament for the college level. See Nick Saban and Tom Coughlin.

I, for one, appreciate y'alls contributions and info. While the accuracy can neither be predicted, or assured, you deliver it with the best of intentions.

What more can people expect? It's a message board/public forum.

Here's my, albeit unrealistic, criteria for a head coach if Hart wants to get this football program back on its feet:

(1) IF it's someone at the collegiate level THEN they need to have more than 1 year as a head coach and at least played in (and preferably WON) a major conference championship. I guess a prior Nat'l Championship would work too...

(2) IF it's someone at the NFL ranks THEN they need to have been a head coach or coordinator with a team that they've taken to the playoffs at least 1 year. A Super Bowl ring would do too...

So that should narrow the absurd lists that everyone's throwing around with Golden, Smart, Strong, etc.
