DY played against Missouri... no idea why he didn't make the trip other than he's become frustrated at his lack of touches. He's been less and less a part of the offense as the season has progressed. Perhaps Coach Graham didn't travel DY as an attitude adjustment or something.

Only if it results in said hire. If we get Golden out of this, Hart will be looking for a new job and Neyland stadium will look a whole lot bigger with all those empty seats.

We hired a coach last time to save a recruiting class and look at where we are. If we have to wait on Gruden, then we should wait.

Also, Jay Graham is more than capable of selling recruits on UT and Gruden.

What the hell are you talking about? :loco: That's some straw man argument you go going there? Didn't say anything about rushing to hire just anybody, to save recruiting. Learn to read before you post.

I said his MNF obligations should naturally take a back seat to the demands of his new job. It's a critical time for a new coach. He and us both lose a lot if he has to wait til the end of December. Jaws can handle his spot just fine.

I highly doubt Hunter is still atop McShay's board as this stage. Probably hasn't been updated. He's been AWOL in many of the games. He caught the ball just shy of the first down marker and instead of getting north and south, to convert that 3rd down...he does his typical bouncing around. He is not CP. He doesn't have the ability to shake opponents that way. He's long and lanky, and needs to just get upfield....taking what is there.

He only had to lung forward to get the 1st down. Instead he's trying to do his best CP imitation and in the process, allows the Vandy Defense to swarm around him, and thus deny the first down. That killed the momentum we needed. Instead we punt and our defense goes into automatic 2nd half suck mode.

If I were an NFL scout or GM, there is no way I'm drafting Bray, or taking Hunter early.

Yesterday during college football live, the ticker at the bottom of the screen was showing McShays top players at each position and Hunter is still his #1 WR. Before last nights game, our offense was the 7th best in the country. Bray and Hunter may not be having perfect seasons but they are playing good enough that NFL scouts and analyst still rate them very high, especially Hunter.

He's going to have to go into living rooms and sell many of these 4-5*s in person.

We had a killer WR haul before the wheels came off this season. He's going to have to get with it, to snatch MArquez North and Rumph before they commit elsewhere...that includes Derrick Green, too.

What I meant was, with Gruden's name recognition I think we'll be getting more attention from recruits that have passed over us. Which is a good problem to have. I don't think it would be to the point of having to salvage it. I agree that it will be a lot of work to get it together.
I don't think we'd be in that deep of a hole coming off two losses if Gruden were hired. Other than Gruden, then yeah it'd be deep.

I heard somewhere he had some family issues too. Not sure on that though.

Battle 4-1 in bowl games..won a Sugar Bowl (Granted with Dickey players) 11-1,10-2. 10-2 , 8-4, 7-3-2,7-5,6-5

Dooley could not hold Battle's jock strap even with impeccable hygiene

I agree, but I am hoping if we can get a coaching upgrade (which anyone would do fine) that CP stays. He is the best athlete on the team, but is still raw on X's and O"s- so maybe he comes back to sharpen his skills?

Honestly, we are all sick of the mess that this has become. Tired of Dooley, tired of losing,tired of seeing what this great university has become as regards to football. And tired of defending just saying hello.

As for me, I still feel as strong as ever on Gruden.

I thought i remember the radio saying DY was sick on Wed. or Thursday and they didn't know if he would make the trip.

I have been called out several times for saying the same thing....said I was bashing Dooley...but I am with you Smokey...NO WAY any coach could be that stupid..it has to be an FU Vols

Their evaluations will be updated after season's end, and you'll see a big change there.

Believe me, NFL teams don't show a lot of respect for good players on losing teams. See Arian Foster, for reference.
