This is all the more reason why Dave Hart can not hire the flavor of the day like Strong, Golden, or Smart.

Hart has to hire a proven veteran head coach with some charisma and some history behind him. It may not be sexy to some, but it is what this program needs in the worst way.

Pay the new coach or you will pay later.

Would anyone be opposed to Bill O'brien.

He cannot REALLY be happy at Penn St.

I think he would def listen if we called

I think that he would do a fantastic job.

In fact my list of preferences looks like this:

1) Butch Davis
2) Jim Mora, Jr
3) Jack Del Rio
4) Tommy Tuberville
4) Bill O'Brien

Some may not think that these folks are not sexy enough, but the fact is that they are veteran coaches who carry the charisma that this program needs.

I would love Davis
Would be fine with Mora,O'Brien, and Del Rio
Would hate Tuberville.

Yep, not sure why people keep bringing up a coach that has already failed in the SEC, and really has not done anything too impressive at Texas Tech

He had a few good teams at auburn, but im with you on texas tech.

he hasn't really done much there, so i don't see us getting him unless we just get turned down by Candidate 1-6

He does literally nothing else well. Bad routes, hasn't learned the playbook, doesn't block well, takes plays off when the ball isn't coming his way. I hope he doesn't go to the NFL thinking he can get by solely on athletic talent like he has here. At some point he'll have to actually learn how to play football.

How polished was Percy Harvin as a route-runner coming out? CP84's stock is skyrocketing right now and will get even higher after a sick combine. I think JH11 needs another year in school.

Gruden isn't coming. Never was. Just a fantasy started in the FF that grew arms,legs, feet, and body. I would love Mora, Strong, or Taggart.

Not sure I want Mora. I'm not a big fan of 1 year job hoppers. I'd be scared of another Todd Graham. What happens if a better job comes open for him in a year or two.
