How sick would both of these guys be in the same backfield. I hope the next coach at UT gets us in it with Hurd next year. Hurd and Maybin would make Demps and Rainey look like punks when it comes to speed.

In terms of pure speed I don't think they would be a Demps/Rainey combo but they're both fast, fast players that can make people miss and run over guys to get where they need to go. Point being said JRM is one hell of an athlete and though I had to cheer against him tonight you couldn't help but be in awe of some of the plays he made.

What were Hurds numbers last night. I saw where JRM went smooth off with a torn labrum.

The big name hire is going to happen. That hire's ability to recruit and his gauge of interest in some of these guys is going to be the question.

We need a big time hire and recruiter badly. An 8 win James frankin is very dangerous in the state of tennessee. It seems like he already leads for Rashaan gaulden. We may lose out on some great prospects if we don't make the right hire

I'm still not sure if I buy into Franklin. The only team they've beat that they shouldn't have is Ole Miss and when some of the playmakers from the previous era leave they'll have a bit of a drop and even a small drop is hard to endure recruiting wise at Vandy

What makes people think Franklin will be there for the long haul?

The guy can coach(I know fans don't want to hear it) and he can recruit so he'll be pursued by a better program here shortly.

Considering what he's done this year with that roster, he should get some looks this off-season.

Just watched him play. Kid is absolutely awesome. Already has sec size. However I don't see how he stays at running back. He's listed at 6'3 but he looked taller than that in person. Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at receiver. He was running over North Side like they were pee wee players.

Franklin is a rising star. I would hope that UT would consider Franklin before Strong and Golden.

I was there too. Nothing North Side could do to slow him down. I'm with you though, can't see him playing rb in college.

Who has he beat that he wasn't supposed to? Who has he beat that even had a winning record? He's no slouch, but he's far from proven.

Nobody. They just think in terms of Dooley when comparing. Franklin is a heck of a recruiter and good coach but we need bigger and better and not lane kiffin 2.0
